Carbon Footprint

The total amount of greenhouse gasses emitted to the atmosphere, such as carbon dioxide. We measure it by life cycle assessment and input-output analysis and input-output analysis involves using carbon intensities, which are measured in kilograms of CO2 per amount spent on the products, to assign a footprint to a product based on its price. It is important to reduce carbon footprint because it can result in a cleaner world and sustainable place. (earth.org)


Philz Coffee

Phil started by opening a convenience store in Mission District in 1978, where is spent about 25 years learning about coffee and experimenting with new flavors to deliver a good cup of coffee to every customer. His passion for coffee quickly drew a lot of attention in the community and the first Philz Coffee shop opened on January 1, 2003, in the Mission District of San Francisco.

Random post- Big Bear Trip

  Living in Los Angeles, we don’t get to experience snowy mornings. The idea of waking up to two feet of snow is something we never see here. While LA winters are mild, sometimes my friends and I miss the feeling of a real winter. A few years ago, we started a tradition of going to Big Bear every year during the holidays. We rent a big cabin, gather all our friends, and enjoy the snow we don’t get in LA. It’s something we all look forward to. Before we head up there, besides splitting the cabin cost, everyone also chips in around $150 for food and drinks. We usually stop at a grocery store like Costco to buy a bunch of meat for BBQ, beer, liquor, and snacks.
