Book 2 post 2
I chose to continue reading Resilient by Dr. Rick Hanson because I am always trying to better myself in any way I can. Before purchasing the book, I knew it was going to be about how to develop long-lasting well-being. While I'm not so interested in reading books, I love to read about books that will further my knowledge and build practical tools that will help me in the future, which this book did.
I found this book to be very good and interesting, coming from someone who does not prefer reading books, I enjoyed Resilients a lot. One of my key takeaways from this book is that resilience isn't just about bouncing back from tough times, it's about building inner strengths like mindfulness, gratitude, and compassion to better handle life's challenges. Since your brain can change and adapt, you can train it to focus on positive experiences. By intentionally focusing on the good things, you can rewire your brain to become happier and more resilient.
I recommend "Resilient" by Dr. Rick Hanson because it gives easy-to-follow advice on how to build inner strength and handle life's challenges better. The book teaches simple ways to practice mindfulness so you can focus on positive things. It shows you how to train your brain to be happier and more resilient, helping you adapt and feel better in your daily life.
Hello Araz, I believe resilience is one of the most essential attributes someone can have, especially in the real world where there can be a lot of rejection. Awesome job Araz!
ReplyDeleteAs a kid too who doesn't read many books I resonated with this post. Although, I do enjoy reading which might be different from you, I too am motivated to read to better myself and learn new practices that will help me improve. I have never really thought about the link between mindfulness and resilience but now see how they can been inextricably connected. Really liked this post, Araz.
ReplyDeleteHey Araz, your review makes Resilient sound like a practical and inspiring read, especially for those of us who aim to grow and handle life's challenges more effectively. I love how it emphasizes building resilience through mindfulness, gratitude, and compassion which are the qualities that not only help us bounce back but also strengthen our overall well-being.
ReplyDeleteAraz, I really appreciate how you’ve embraced the lessons from Resilient, particularly the emphasis on mindfulness and gratitude. It’s a wonderful reminder that resilience involves purposeful growth, not merely recovering from setbacks.
